Dark and Stormy Knight

Session 1

Two groups of characters were caught outside in a truly ferocious hailstorm. They both sought shelter in a large, seemingly empty, tower. They promptly went inside and built a fire. The bard in the group recounted a tale of this tower, claiming that legends said that there was a powerful zombie of some sort lurking inside. Just then, there was a flash of lighting and a clap of thunder, and three doors off the main room fell inward, and a mob of vicious rats rushed the party. The inexperienced adventures manages to kill all the rats, suffering only minor injuries.

Session 2 (conclusion)

Two more people showed up, taking shelter from the storm. The rogue, paladin, and bard decided they had had enough for the time being, and stayed in the outer room, while the two fighters, bard and wizard ventured further inside. They found a trapped chest with some gold and gems inside, fought a very scary Vargouille, and two hobgoblins. The group took a rest, and tried to heal their wounds. Then they found a very sticky situation, in a room with a large spider. Irien got so stuck in the web, that she couldn't even reach her weapons! The wizard emptied all his spells on the spider, just delaying the inevitable. When it looked like all was lost for Irien (the spider was perched on her immobile head, attempting to bite her face), Emeldir leaped forward, and chopped the spider in half. Whew! Finally, the group fought the ferocious bugbear zombie, and managed to destroy it.
