Fenrix Dark
Fenrix Dark is a neutral-good, male human generalist wizard. He has a lot of knowledge, and would like to someday become an expert alchemist. He's very much a wizard, everything about him is geared to that end. His goal is to collect all the spells that he possibly can.

Background
Fenrix is the youngest son in a family of fishermen. As such, he spent much of his younger life living on the fishing boats, climbing in the rigging, and handling ropes and nets. But ever since he was a child, during all this time, all the mindless hours mending nets and gutting fish, he wasn't really there. His mind was busy imagining all the magical lore he would someday learn, the magical spells he would cast, the wonderous potions he would brew, and the powerful artifacts he would forge.
During the winter months, when the fishermen were repairing and refitting their boats, Fenrix could be counted on to be curled up with a book somewhere, or sitting by the fire trying out the latest tricks he'd learned from somewhere or other.
Whenever a traveling spellcaster would pass through their village, Fenrix would stick with him like a fish scale to the side of your boot, pestering him about any subject magical. Over the years, me managed to accrue rather a respectable set of lore. As soon as he hit the age of 16, he apprenticed himself to an aged wizard who lived a few towns away. There he studied for a couple of years, until the old fellow peacefully passed away while Fenrix was visiting with his family during the winter.
So, Fenrix spends his days reading and re-reading his books, practicing his magic, and talking to anyone who will listen, waiting for his opportunity to increase his knowledge. He's purchased a load of adventuring gear, and bought a small donkey named Murphy from a friend of his father's. He has put up a sign, "wizard available", in the local inns, along with a small quartz crystal. The note says that anyone needing a wizard merely has to crush the crystal in the morning, and he'll be there by evening.
Adventures
A Dark and Stormy Knight
After a time, his money running low, Fenrix took Murphy and headed for a different town. He was traveling with Emeldir Gloordhel, a human fighter. The two got caught in a terrible storm, and took shelter in a large excavated tomb at the base of a hill. There were already some people in there, who had just defeated an attack by a bunch of rats.
After a brief rest, Fenrix and some of the others made their way deeper into the complex, where they dispatched some hobgoblins, a monstrous spider, a Vargouille, and finally a deadly zombie bugbear. Fenrix finally had the opportunity to use some of the spells he had learned! He cast light, ray of frost, detect magic, magic missile, summon monster I, and mage armor.
When all was said and done, Fenrix had obtained a pearl of power (which lets him remember a single cantrip per day that he had already cast), and a translators ring, which brought him knowledge of 2 more languages. He also had enough money, just barely, to purchase the components needed to obtain a familiar! He chose a bat named Dirk. They look forward to some more adventures together.
